Reliability
Hi guys. First time on this sight. Been reading all the posts. Alot of great info here. I am a PSD Wanna be. Hopefully in the near future. But I do drive a Diesel. And have since 1980. Just not a truck. I drive VW.Now here is my Question. I am wondering why the pumps in the earlir ford trucks are failing so soon. I have emassed many 100's of thousands of miles over the years. And never yet touched an injector or pump.one of my cars I put on 475000k and sold it running strong. All with original fuel system. Just something to chew on. Anybody have any comments. It would be great to here from you. (Later)

Reliability
The injection pump on the 6.9/7.3L diesel is the weak link in the system. Your VW probably has a Bosch injection system. Our pump was manufactured by Stanadyne. It is a rotary injection pump and is the cheapest injection pump money can buy. You've got a better system -- it is as simple as that.
