Unhappy need help!! fuel pump only getting 6volts not working! 2000 f250 diesel

hey guys.. i need to pick some brains here! i am giving a description of what went on here today! this truck has 110000 miles so anything is possible. i was getting hesitation while driving then it was misfiring with the sound of only a few cylinders going. i just made it to my driveway. i decided maybe the injectors are clogged! i dumped fuel and proceeded to check it out, i thought maybe it might be a fuel starvation issue so i clicked on the key! and the pump did not click on! the bowl did not fill up! so i felt it was the fuel pump! well i removed that! and tried it in my hand by hooking it up to a battery! it worked then,so i checked the power source where the pump was mounted! i am only receiving 6volts! i had checked all fuses! nothing! so here i am! hope someone can shed some light here! thanks.

Have you checked voltage at the fuel pump relay?

The fuel pump relay is under the hood on the driver side fuse box.

Unhappy well can someone shed some light on this?

it would make sense that there is an electrical problem with the feed to my fuel pump! but to further dig into this what controls the pump feed electrically? where does it goto? if theres a relay which one would it be? and would that just allow 6volts instead of nothing?? help!
