Lifter noise...
I tried a little tranny fluid and it got a little quieter. That was before I changed my oil. Now it makes that noise again. Should I just get some stop smoke to thicken up the oil or run the cleaner?
I had about the same problem about a year ago. Replaced lifters, adjusted rockers, everything under the sun. It wound up being a spun bearing on the crankshaft, with the conrod all egged out and the bearing totally crushed, it had been that way for a year and a half though, gotta love that.
Mine just got a lot quieter. Borrowed a timing light and set the timing. It was at about 15adc and now is at 10bdc. I adjusted the carb some more, I think it is almost tuned. Also should I expect it to burn out on dry pavement without a problem? It gets a to speed in a hurry, but it doesn't seem to burn out easily. my mods are in my sig.
