What setting do you keep the program at most of the time?
I had it on HP setting and the shifts were a little firm for everyday driving and third gear seemed to clunck around more with the HP mode. I changed it to Econ. mode and the shifts seem better.
Thanks,
Mark

I keep mine in HP mode. The shifts didn't seem much different to me in EC mode.
Hey Vegas- considering buying a new F350 6.0L but I hate the dead pedal feel. On the test drive it felt like I had to put it half way to the floor to get moving. Does the 1704 help with this. If it does, then I would feek alot better about buying the truck as this is my only real hang up with it. Thanks for any info for a diesel wannabe.

My truck and my buddies '04 never had a dead pedal. Try a different truck.
The SC1704 in HP mode will make the diesel rev like a gasser. The response is impresive. It is so funny to line up at a light with some jerk who thinks he is going to close the door on you when the lane merges and all of a sudden this monster of a truck blows by at stupid speed putting that "what the fu*k" look on his face.

**** is against the rules. It is considered "masking" profanity with symbols.
DO NOT DO IT AGAIN
