Hi, I'm new to the forum as far as being a member, but I have used it for many useful tips in the past. Now I have a problem that I need some help with. My 1999 Explorer's stereo started acting up yesterday. When I have it in a moving gear (R, D, 1 or 2) the stereo has no sound. It is powered on and everything works, just no sound. As soon as I put it in Nuetral or Park it works perfectly. I'm figuring a short somewhere, but I am STUMPED on what it has to do with the shifter. This is a column shift. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
sounds odd, but the transmission has to be interfering when engaged, creating some major interference. has to be something with the antenna connection?
