Leaking Sunroof Problem Solved
After taking the 95 Explorer to the dealer to find the cause of the leak. The rubber gasket around the glass panel had become hard and was not sealing. After 94 you cant buy just the gasket and the you have to purchase the whole panel for $488. I managed to find 1 at a local salvage yard that was like new for $163. If anyone else has a problem with water leaking , check the seal around the glass panel. Hope this helps.
It started out as just a few drops and finaly got to the point it was a steady stream. This all happened in just a few weeks. It had one of those deflectors installed in front of the sunroof when we got it. Thats the first thing they told me to take off since it traps all the crude on the roof and deposits it right on the seal in the front. Thats the only place the seal was bad, in the front corners and there was alot of dirt and debris trapped in the channel under the deflector.
