Hey guys, I just recently bought a 1982 Lincoln Mark VI with the 302 fuel injected engine. The problem is that it won't start. First of all, I looked at the fuel injectors and it doesn't look like they are putting any fuel out. However, I took the fuel lines off and turned the key over and the fuel pump pumped gas out of the line. Does the computer control these fuel injectors or do you think it just might be the fuel injector itself. The electrical is also another matter. Everytime I look at it, I find another wire either missing or broke in half. On top of the coil there is a deal that has a wire coming out of it that is missing. Is this important in helping it start? I am also going to have to replace the distributor cap and rotor for they are busted. These are all things I can fix but i'm just not sure about the fuel injectors. Do you guys have any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Braxton

Can you take a pic of the coil, so we can understand what "deal" means? There should be two wires that run to something from the coil, one from the ignition run position to the coil and one fromthe coil to the distributor.
Have you pulled the codes?

I believe that the "deal" on the coil is a capacitor or something like that. It is connected to the coil and has one wire coming out of it that is supposed to go back into the wiring that connects to the coil, at least that's the way I think it goes. Thanks
