First, steer clear of things with "sweet", "Vanilla", or "Cherry" in the name. Then, avoid the machined cigars. These are for fishing to keep bugs away! Hehe..
Anyhow. There are plenty of places online that will send you samplers for pretty good prices. That way you can see what you like. JR Cigars is a good place for that, plus they have some other cool stuff.
You can also get some segundos for great prices, although the brands may be kinda erratic. The segundos are made by good mfgrs, but dont meet their top quality standards, for whatever reasons..bad color, a big stem, wrapped too tightly, or not tight enough, etc, etc.
The biggest thing is to have fun with them. Like anything else, I suppose.
Oh yah..just cause it's "Cuban" doesnt mean that it's the best thing out there. Just that youre not supposed to have it.
I happen to like the red dot Cohibas.
