Filter Question??

1. On an 02, F250, 7.3, 4x4, is there an inline fuel filter on the frame rail that needs to be serviced? I did the one on the motor, just curious about another one.

2. On another note, based solely on mpg, what mods will improve mpg the most? Not concerned with racing or smokey burnouts (most of the time) just the best mpg possible.

1. To my knowledge the only fuel filter is the one in the fuel bowl.

2. Greatest MPG mod is the "right foot mod." Keep the RPM below 2000 and avoid fast starts.

Thanks for the info, my buddy has the 6.0 and he has two filters to contend with. I keep hearing about the 2000 rpm method, just soo hard to do.

I agree, arno. With my 4.10 rear end gear, keeping my RPM below 2000 is right next to impossible. My truck only goes 62 MPH at 2000 RPM. I do that much on one-lane gravel roads! (J/K) I like it a lot better on the Interstate at about 78 or 80, at which I am at or a little above 2500 RPM. That's where my grin factor peaks! Alas, I have been trying to hold back lately, however....say 2300 or 2400, trying to save a little fuel, anyways.........
