i have the 7.3 so it shouldn't concern me but I'm actually quite disapointed that ford either could'nt or didn't top dodge on ratings. I don't know what the HP is rated at for the 05, but i do know that it only got 10 more ft/lbs. of torque. I just wanted to see them on top, heck even the chevies got 590?? guess we'll have to wait until 06. Bummer. I'm not reall excited about coil over front suspension either. o well 
I guess 02'-03' wasn't a bad year to buy new after all...

yea i would prefer them not having coil springs, but o'well it shouldnt bother
me hehe I have a 99'. I believe it's 325hp, yeah I wished Ford topped the
other's but at least they have 17,000 lbs towing capacity!

Personally I am stoked with the independent front coil suspension, finally better ride, AND handling!!! I know it may be at the cost of ease to raise vehicle height, and a few other practical issues, but I think the Pro's outway the Con's on this one. I was disapointed however that they did not give the 6.0Diesel any major upgrades , but bring on the greater towing, and carrying capacity. I think 2005 may be time to upgrade
