87 E150 with a 302 died at 40mph and wouldn't restart. Since then I have a new ignition module, new pickup coil in dist, new cap and roter, newer plugs, new TPS.
Checked timing chain, checked fuel pressure ( 35-40 psi, holds pressure during acceleration), have spark, have power to injectors (tried starting fluid while cranking, doesn't fire).
Ran codes several times, one time got a code for TPS, replaced it. One time got a code for secondary air system, have checked lines and valves, they appear to be OK.
If I advance timing to 30 btdc it will start but runs poorly, if I set timing correctly (spout disconnected, 10 btdc) it won't start. The marks on the dampener are correct at tdc on #1 cylinder. I am running out of ideas.
Put # 1 cylinder at TDC and marks on dampener line up at 0 degrees. Rotor is aproaching the #1 post on the cap, and there is less than 3 degrees of play on the crank before the rotor starts to turn.
