Help - fuel pump electrical problem

Anyone have any ideas about no power to the fuel pump - I put power to the plug at the plug for the emergancy shutoff on the firewall and Im good from there back..but Ive got no power at that point. I checked the 18ga link by the starter solinoid and Ive got power there..so Its somewhere between there and that shut off switch...is there anything in between I should check, or should I just start following the wire ? Also, there are 2 18ga links by the solinoid..what color is the one going to the fuel pump ?

Thanks....

before you check the relay i would trip the pump shut off and reset it if that doesnt do it then i would check the relay. it is on the driver side fender well with the other 2. it is a 20.00 dollar relay.

no pic, but if you pull off your passenger-side kick panel, you should see the cluster there. I believe older ones were farther up on the firewall... What year is your truck?

your fuel pump relay should be on the drivers side fender well under your hood it will look like a black square cube aprox 1" sqr. pluged into a socket. hope this helps, DW

its a 1992 eddie bauer, i found the ecc test connector, but there are no relays, theres the power distr box with five relays, all black, but it does not say which one is which, just number 1-5, on the top it says check owners manual but i dont have it, or the fuel pump relay is outside that big box, thanks for your help

position #-2 should be the fuel pump relay, and position # 16 should be a 20A fuse/breaker this should be the power feed for the fuel pump. DW

take relay number 3 or 4 and swap with number 2 and see if you have power to the fuel pump then, if so then the relay you removed from the #2 position is bad, dont pull the #1 relay it is for your EEC. DW

I'm not 100% shure but they should be standard bosch style relays. DW

interchanged the relays, cheked all the fuses, and no luck, the pump doesnt make any noise when you put the ignition in position 1, to check the pump directly I think i must bring down the fuel tank, any more ideas would be appreciated, thanks for all your help
