hey,
i got a question for you all. i pulled my transmission (m50d) on my 1995 F-150 4x4 last night, got the flywheel machined today and put it in, got the clutch pack and clutch plate in the right way, new throw-out bearing, all that good junk, but tonight i go to put the tran. back in and no luck, i can get it to spline up just fine but no matter what i do it gets about 1-2 inches from the back of the engine block where it bolts up and bam, it just stops....the throw-out is touching the fingers of the clutch but i tried going in through the inspection cover and moving it back to help relieve some pressure but it didint work. anyone else had this same dilemma? i am just comp[letely out of ideas and steam as well, i didint get into bed until 3AM this morning from dropping that dang tranny last night, and had to get the flywheel to the machinists at 8 AM lol. anyways, any kind of advice would be much appreciated! thanks!
indeed, unless napa gave me the wtrong one with my clutch, it came with a plastic one. i spent alot of time thikning it over last night and the only thing i can tink of is either the clutch plate is backwards of the pilot bearing is not all the way in, so i am going to check those this morning and see what i have got on my hands.....i was sure i didi those correct but you never know things slip the mind once in a while. thanks for the reply!
