shell 5w-40 synthic

Anyone else running this? I just put it in my 66 with 352 78000 oringal miles. Seems to like it so far we'll see.

Will definatly do that. So far I've put on a 100 miles and it seems quiter smoother and slightly more power from what I was using Valoline 20w-50 all climate.

i would imagine it would run better thtan 20-50. howver i would fear that 5-40 would have worse problems than 10-40 and to a larger etent. i would not reccomend using 20-50 in anything unles its really worn out, its too thik and causes major frition at start up. i see you have a 66 352. me too!

It's a synthetic, so it wont have nearly the problems with the viscosity index improvers that conventional 10w40's had. It should be a great oil, synthetic and diesel rated, if you can afford it.

Edit: It was the Rotella synthetic, right?
