If you didnt order a boost gauge install kit, they only supply you with 6 feet of tube for the gauge, and thats not enough, you need about 10-12 feet of it. A local hardware store might have this, what other gauges did you get, trans and pyro?
I just received a autometer z series boost gauge in the mail and I am going to install. Are there any hints to installation??
Splice the hose going into the MAP sensor it's 1/4 in tube on the right side of the engine...Buy a universial three way tee fitting..Also buy some small vacume tubing(autozone),so that the tube that came with the gauge can fit into it tightly..
Put one side of the 1/4 tube on the tee and one on the other side. The one pointing upward put that little tubing you buy(autozone) on that top tip, zip all fittings securley. Then put the little boost tube (that came with the kit, clear) in the top of the the little vac tube(autozone) that is already connected to the tee on top and zip tie every connection..Bam! done I hope this isn't too confusing..You'll laugh how easy it really is.....Good luck!!!
PS- Not enough clear tube? buy more of the small vacume tubing it's better and doesn't kink...O'yea don't kink that boost tube(clear), whatever you do....

I bought a set with the harness "pre-wired" and ended up having too little boost-tube. Now I'm chasing down "kink & leak" problems, since I can't seem to get over 15lbs of boost (w/superchip) - I should be in the 20's. One tip: don't over-tighten your flare-nut brass fittings, as this can also cause an obstruction. I tapped my aluminum boost housing and ran the tubing through the firewall (vs. tapping at the MAPP). Good luck!
