Or go to http://flatratetech.com/6literpowers...ultimatebb.cgi register and go to the OASIS threads. Give them your vin#. These are a bunch of diesel techs.

A good bargaining 'tool' would be to swing into the service dept. of the dealer selling 'the' truck you intrest in, and then have them print you out a copy of the Oasis Report and present it to the sales rep. They can't despute any info. especially if it was generated from their own service dept.

Thanks to all for the info. I drove the truck today and had the dealer do an Oasis. It had a PCM on 4/20/04. Is that a good one? The truck ran fine and had plenty of power but I've read here where some of the re-flashes can cause a significant downturn in fuel mileage. Also noticed a stain on the bell housing but the ground was dry and the truck had been sitting there awhile. I read on here also that could be assembly lube meltdown and it's been in the 80's here lately. I like the truck and I admit part of the reason is the price - $28.5k with 10K miles but I know a lemon isn't a bargain at any price. Any insight would be most appreciated.
