When I posted this in April of 2004 I had no idea that I would still be going at 337000 in June of 2005. The overdrive no longer works but I still get about 20 mpg just running in drive. I guess I'll drive it till the wheels fall off.

yay! I now have 160,000 on my 97, and I drove across the country twice in the last 6 months. I just arrived in California yesterday after leaving Cape Cod Wednesday afternoon. 3000 mile trip, no problems!

I've got you beat, my 92 XLT has 390,000 miles (though the tranny was rebuilt about 150,000 miles or so ago). It is amazing what regular oil changes and some maintenance will do for an engine. I emailed Ford to let them know, but I haven't heard back, not a big suprise though.
