Quick Answer Needed - Camber Bolts?

Took my 96 in for an alignment this AM and get a call telling me they can't align it because it needs 2 rear cam bushings ? I searched the site and couldn't find anything about this. When I called them back they said I though he said I needed rear camber bolts? What gives? I told him I'd do it myself and he said I wouldn't be able to do it. Is there such a thing? Help!

Yeah, they put a different pin bushing in that has the hole drilled off-center... as the turn the bushing it will tow the tires in or out. I had to have them put in an 86 F-150... not sure what causes that misalignment to occur really... maybe just wear. You CAN install them yourself... but you would still have to take it somewhere to have the alignment done.

thats just the metal bushing that the upper ball joint sits in right? If so, I've installed them before when I lifted my explorer. Thanks

That's what I was thinking of anyway, I've always heard them called adjustable camber bushings... not bolts, but they sound like the same thing. And yes, your right about the location, they come with any lift kit for the Ford TTB front ends. Explorer/B2 or even the full size rigs... heck even the 2wd front ends have a similair bushing there at the ball joints...

But why did they say rear camber? I'd be surprise if you need to change them, the TTB has such a range on the camber as the suspension goes up and down that anything near spec is fine. As soon as you seat in your truck the camber is off again. Unless you did some sort of suspension lift than your camber is most likly fine as is.
