instrument cluster moisture

i`ve noticed lately that when i drive in the rain ,or when i run through a mudhole.my instrument cluster gets tiny little droplets inside the lens.i can`t find moisture anywhere else in the truck,where could it be coming from?

A damaged speedometer cable casing.

It may well be related to problems you have above with your transmission also.

Transmissions that have been submerged enough to get water in them vent through a case vent, unless it gets clogged/ stopped up, then they vent thru speedo cable & inputshaft housing where throwout bearing rides.

Additionally water in tranny gear oil kills thrustwashers, roller needles and sometimes syncro shoes in 2nd-3rd synchronizer, especially if it sits or sat with water in it.
