Hot idle stall
I have a 89 Bronco with the 5.8 engine that stalled while waiting in hot weather at the Mexico /US border. After about 30 minutes, it finally started and ran fine. While climbing a 6% desert grade, the engine lost power and started to buck. Checked the codes and nothing came up. What do you think?

I agree with Kemicalburns, fuel or tune up time. Also, check wiring near the EEC Power relay and the Fuel Pump relay on the driver side fender well. Mine caused almost 3 years if intermittent problems before it was finally traced down. This Bronco could be the reason I am loosing hair and it turning gray ? Nah...

The problem only comes up after about 5 minutes of heavy throttle while climbing a steep grade or when hot ideling. The fuel filter is new, but the high pressure fuel pump has about 150,000 miles on it. Same with the pump relay. I'll start with a new pump and relay.
Sort of had the same problem before when the Bronco was new. It turned out to be the in tank pump. This time the problem is not nearly as bad so I thought I'd look to other areas before I drop the tank!
