ABS problem

Hi folks!
I'm new here and was hoping I could get some tech help.
My ABS light is on, I've cleaned the brushes on the motor, I can make it run from the pin on the relay (#5) BUT, the relay isn't getting a signal to close. The fuses are fine, What else can I check or posibly reset? are there sensors on the rotors I might need to replace? What actually decides to send the signal?

I'm open to any ideas !

Thanks in advance!

No, you can pull them with a simple paperclip. For starters, what year is your truck?

Here is a thread on pulling codes. Maybe this should be "stickied" to the top of this forum...
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...hreadid=112293

There are many other threads, including some with little diagrams showing where to stick the paper clip. Just do a search - Steve83 seemed to be the biggest contributor in this area, so you might want to search his posts.

Very handy, I wish I would known that last week when I took it in to have a throttle position sensor diagnosed.

Unfortunalely, I don't see any ABS codes listed, no codes no diagnosis.
The truck's a 95' w/ 351

Search the forum - ABS light comes up for discussion all the time. Might also check rear speed sensor on top of the rear diff.

If you come up with a code, I'll tell you what it says.

I wasn't sure if this is done w/ ignition off or on, so I tried it both ways. w/ ignition off it did nothing steady on. if I started the engine if blinked 4 times and pu the engine to a high idle..
