Ford 8.8

I am in San Antonio and I am in need of a Ford 8.8 out of an explorer that has 31 spline axle shafts, 4.11 gears, a limited slip, and disk breaks (optional). also High Pinion would be nice too.

Or if anyone knows of anything close to it as well. i will prob go up to 4.88's soon anyways so the gearing is not crusial but i would like to put it in and drive it nowrather than later. But the 31 spline is not negotiable.

I might be able to help as long as you aren't gonna use it in a Jeep! Are you?

Just messing with you Joe.

haven't meassured it since it ain't right here. 3.55 ratio open. yes 5x5.5 pattern. But can meassure one under any truck or even 80-96 F150 with 9" or 8.8" all the same

Make me a reasonable offer on it and we'll go from there. It's 31spline count. It came from a 95 F150 with ABS/SSR sencers all on it. You can have it from the Leaf springs down or Just the complete rear at same cost and whatever else you might need on it..

do you know how wide it is drum to drum?

the reason i ask is because i know that it is wider than what i have now but just trying to determine if i get the adaptors for my front axle to make it 5 on 5.5 rather than 5 on 4.5 they will be close to the same width so that i can just carry one spare rather then 2 differant wheels. Like i said before this is for my Jeep.

Does anyone know what axle they put under a ford ranger? my buddy just totaled his 2003. and i was thinking about trying to get the motor and rear end out of it. he was T-boned in the passenger door, actually craked the transmission. but he has the 4.0 V6 and it is in great shape. and the rear end is in good shape as well. I think that it has an 8.8 under it, that is what my wifes 95 arrowstar has and it has the same motor. but i am not sure if i can do that since it was a lease to own he did not actually buy the truck. that and they might require too much for it.

lets see my axle is 60" wide and i can get up to 1.5" spacers/adapters for the making it 5 on 5.5 rather than 4.5 so that would make a grand width of 63" so an inch and a quarter on each side. man that seems like it is just going to be too wide. i really want to keep the stock width. if I want to go full size i will prob go with D60's or somthing like that. thanks man. maybe if you come across one out of an explorer or a arrowstar or what ever else they came in let me know thanks.

does anyone know what the shorter 8.8's came in? other than the ford explorer and the arrowstar? maybe a ranger or the newer minivans?
