mlp sensor
anyone know how to test the mlp sensor on a 91 e40d? i'm trying to program the bauman tcs stand alone computer for this and the program indicates the tranny is in the wrong gear, one gear off all the time. it mentions this device in the electronic sensor and injection manual i have and how to test every thing from tps to nuts and soup but not this one. maybe i can drill out the rivets and clean it? can't hurt if that doesn't work i'll have to buy one anyway.

if you go to http://www.fordfuelinjection.com and look under downloads and open up "manual lever position sensor;by pete luban" he goes into detail on how to test the MSLP and the values for each gear position plus a few extra pointers.
