2002 PS failure
hello Folk's
I have a ford PS that has thrown a connecting rod with only 11k on it.
If anyone has had or knows of someone that this has happen to
please email me.
the dealer is giving a fit about misuse!!!, the more people w/ this problem that i can include would be appreciated

DO NOT under any circumstances take any crap from the dealer about "misuse." If you have followed the recommended maintainence procedures, I know of NO WAY you can misuse it!
We had an incident earlier this year with one of our crankshaft lap machines that left one crank pin unlapped (or not lapped right) and there is a high likelihood that some engines got built and shipped with some of these bad cranks in them (we've had some other crankshaft issues that our people have been slow to deal with).
Tell me exactly what your dealer is alleging you did to misuse it and get me the serial number of the engine -- it should be on a label on the drivers side valve cover or it is stamped on the oil clooer pad on the block.
If the dealer can convince you that you are at fault for the purpose of getting you to pay for the repairs, he can then turn it in as a warranty claim and get paid twice for the same work. Ford is not footing the bill anyway -- Navistar is.
