Front Wheel Bearing
99 F350 4X4 Dual Rear Wheel 7.3 4:00 gears extend cab 35,000. Has anyone had any problems with front wheel bearings? On a trip from PA to TX my front wheel bearings decided to eat themself's and let my rotor rub the axel housing. Thank god it decided to let loose as I was pulling into a hotel for the night and not while I was doing 70 down the highway. When they put the truck up on the rack you could move the tire about 3". They have to replace the entire assembly no serviceable parts acording to Ford. I am sure that the assembly failed when pulling into the hotel since I herd a pop and then it started rubing the rotor. They way this broke realy concerns me since after it happend I was affraid the tire was going to fall off it was that bad. Please let me know if anyone else has had this happen.
