Looking for the Amp

I have a 1998 ford explorer the Driver side front speaker goes out over bumps.
I installed an aftermarket stereo and the problem is still there. Checked harnesses from stereo and on the speaker itself. I noticed when i installed the aftermarket stereo that the amp turn on wire had to be connected for it to work i was astounded that i had an amp. I am guessing that the next place to check for a loose wire/connection would be the amp but i have no clue where it is. Please HELP!!!

If all you are doing is running door speakers, I would run some new wiring to each of the four speaker and run it directly off of the HU.
