I don't know if this has been brought up before. I did a search, and couldn't find it. I've been coming to this site long enough, to sort of get to know a lot of the people here. Some of the user names are pretty obvious, such as mine. My last name is Sauer, and I own, buy and sell F100s, hence sauerf100s. I use this name online for almost everything. Others are not quite so obvious in origin, so I would like to know how you came up with your user name.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-Apr-02 AT 06:26 PM (EST)]OK- Thanks Then I guess it was a bad idea.
Edit- I went back and checked out the old thread. Pretty cool, and I learned something. I guess it wouldn't hurt if any of us newer people explained their user name, woulf it?
"When I first started going to chats and message boards, I saw all the other fanciful names out there, and thought of what I related to the most. It happened that above my computer, I also had a real big pretty picture of a wolf in snow - and I've stuck with it ever since."
That was the old post, and in fairness I should add to it.
Grey is a southern color, but Greywolves are also found up north.
I don't remember much of Pennsylvania although I was born there. Most of my life has been in the south one way or the other.
San Diego California
Rockville Maryland
Hampton Roads Virginia
I was in Bremerton Washington for a while, but I hated it there...
I bought land in Tipton County Tennessee because I can't imagine a more wonderful place to live.
And so I suppose you could say I am a "Naturalised Southerner" in a lot of ways. Living in that part of the country just seems to suit me right down to my bootheels, and I have seen enough of the rest of the world to make an educated choice:
-People in the south care about "Politeness" and common courtesy
-People in the south drive like they care about their lives and vehicles.
-The weather is usually very nice.
-There is "Country" left in the south, it isn't all asphalted over. And I personally need that....
-There are wild critters OTHER THAN human "Wild Critters" in places like that. And I appreciate them.
The list goes on...
And so a northern Wolf has (in a manner of speaking) traded a blue hat for a grey one - or either I get my fur trimmed down for the summertime anyways.....
Mine is pretty self explanitory.... I drive a 1972 F100 RangerXLT. It's pale yellow with a black top and a long bed. It's powered by a 351W with a c4 backing it up. I've got some classic slotted mags on it with 255 60 r15 tires. It is a good old truck but it needs a little work. A couple of small dents and some new paint and it'll be a beauty.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-Apr-02 AT 11:35 PM (EST)]I guess I chose my screen name because I was too simple minded to come up with something other than my real name. Geez, I'm boring....
Brian A
And to think I could have been....."Rootin' tootin' pickup drivin' man from Alabama"
nah...I stick with "Brian"
OBTY...I've always wondered...how old is "Horsepuller"? He looks pretty young in that little black and white photo that shows up on all his posts. But the photo looks really old. He must be about 140 now. I wonder if he still has that hat.
MustangGT221 is my aol screen name. Mustang GT because i love mustangs, i used to be obsessed with them when i wanted to buy my first car but i saw this truck and had to buy it instead. Ever since i've been really into trucks, i will settle down back into mustangs when i'm done with my current project. My sn was ment to be MustangGT21, but it was taken on aol, so i threw an extra 2 in there. 21 was my hockey number in high school on the varsity ice hockey team, and i think i had just made the team when i made my screen name.
Primary rig is:
95' F-150 EB 300/6 5 spd with 4" Superlift, MSD, Ram Air, Gibson Exhaust, 32" BFG Muds

95' Mercury Cougar 4.6L V-8
80' E-350 300/6 and a

The newest addition to the Ford family is a 99' Mustang GT 4.6L
My wife gave me mine because I have a white 1977 300d Mercedes Benz and our last name is Bone. It is really hard to find a P.G. rated name around our last name. So whitebenz it is.
I usually use my real name in discussion forums. When I first came to FTE, there was some flaming going on, so I chose not to use my real name. I decided on 'horsepuller' because I wanted everyone to know that I rode horses and pulled a trailer.
In retrospect, it's a pretty dumb name, and I wished I had used my real name instead. People who use their real names show a lot more accountability. But it's too late to change now, since I have a nice post count and am a Moderator now.
Brian: My avitar picture is of Billy Cramer, one of the first real cowboys to make rodeo a legitimate event. But since you're wondering, I still have the hat and you're guess on my age is accurate plus or minus a hundred years, LOL!
Here's the real me!
BTW: This photo was taken on the battlefield under fire.
My first name in here was RE_SPEED & FAB , the name of my business.
And R.E. aren't even my initials, I bought a established business after the owner was killed and it was to well respected to change the name.
But after many post, I changed it to YETI , the make of my Mt. Bike and plowing business and the bigfoot tie in.
Plus RE SPEED & FAB was to long for Monsta to type all the time when he was picking on me
My Real name is William or Bill, but friends call me *****,
Monsta, thats Mr. William sir to you!!
