Headlight Capsule Upgrade
OK, let me be sure I got this right.
Got a little confused after reading a few other posts after completing a search. I want to upgrade the look of my 2000 X. I can order 2002+ headlight capsules and parking lamp lenses for either an X or a SuperDuty to get the clear look. The 2000 headlight bulb will fit the newer capsule and the turn signal/parking bulb will fit the newer lenses also with the bulb being changed to amber (or the new clear SilverStars which are amber when lit). I have already purchased the SilverStar headlight bulbs & upgraded headlight harness from suvlights.com. If this is all correct and I do go with it, I'll post my result and try to post before & after pics. Thank all.

Sorry, no pics or prices yet. I wanted/needed to verify through here before I ordered /priced anything cause most stealership will not let return or have such a high restocking fee your better of re-selling the item yourself. Give me a couple few weeks to work out some numbers and I'll update you everyone then. Again, thanks for the confirmation.

Ebay has the headlamps pretty cheap now($80 Buy Now for a pair). I paid $185 a while ago, but mine are OEM - the ones for $80 seem like after market. As for the turn signals(corners as their called) I got a pretty sweet set from stylinconcepts.com for cheap. The corners from a Ford dealer are really spendy, plus mine have a clearer len. If anyone really wants pictures I could take one of the whole set up.

OK, they (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2479592299&sspage name=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT) arrived today. Look to very nice in quality and finish. Took a look at the X today to get some ideas and possibly find any problems that may arise. I have two questions so far; 1. where/how did you guys mount the relays from the suvlights.com headlight harness and 2. will the headlight be that far out of whack I have to get them re-aligned right away (was asking because I have an Intrepid and you can swap capules without moving the aim)? Thanks all and wish me luck. Like I stated earlier I'll get/post some pics when it gets done.

IMHO, the front looks so much cleaner and more classy with the crystal capsules. Now all I hafta do is pick up some SilverStars and I'll be happy!
