The boost gauge is located directly under the tach needle and is poorly graduated just as most of fords guages are. Why cant we have numbers instead of cold and hot or high and low?
Tim, please clean this thread up, OR get rid of it all togeather. No proof.
I beleive just GM sabatoge... No one is even remotely close to the subject.
I wonder if Ford does have the Power Upgraded if us owners of 2005s will get the upgrades? I will be ****ed if Ford does infact upgrade it to 350 and 600 lbs, and they dont provide us existing owners with the upgrades. If it is just a flash than there should be no reason why they dont give it to us. But then what would happen with the computers after we were to do another install of a power upgrade. would we really get the full potential 100 hp (eg) if we had set it to the full setting avail from the predator. After all the if it is just programing, there are limits.
The 2005 Ford PSD is 325 hp and 570lb. ft. of torque....I should know...I have the official ford information source book. And as for the V6 diesel in the F150.... it is back in the works and it will also be available in the Expedition.....that is the latest news from inside ford.

just wondering why they would persue a v6 diesel and not an inline 6 or 4. a v6 is a hard engine to balance anyways. seems like running diesel into it would make it even harder to get right. wouldnt an inline 4 be a simpler design. provide plenty of power and just simplify the process all the way around??? just wonderin'
I would love for then to put a small diesel in a light duty truck. Toyota has done it for years with the Hilux. I might even consider one of those little trucks if they were to bring them over here. I know they sell them in Australia other than that I don't know.
I'm with you. I've been looking for news of this ever since I first heard about it a couple of years ago.
There is a lot of performance potential with this engine in an F-150.

Packaging and weight. A V-6 will fit in a smaller vehicle and lends itself to sideways configuration for front wheel drive vehicles.
i just picked up my 05 yesterday the factory boost gauge is located under the tacometer motor is marked 570 ftlbs torque at 2000 rpm probably a stupid question but where is the oil filter been under the truck three times and havent seen it yet
if you look in the valley of your engine you will see the oil and fuel filters. the oil filter has the larger top and no indention to put a 1/2" ratched in.
if the engine is a inline 4 it wouldnt run as smooth as a 6, the fewer number if cylinders the rougher the engine is. yes you can balance it but you will also need to balance the v-6 like you said gotdiesel.
