My 1990 F250 tailgate is bent in the middle. It bows out about 2 inches and is actually split at the top where the crease is.
Can this be straightened or is it better to replace?
Any suggestions on where to find a replacement?
The ones I have seen online have a price of around $250 with all hardware or $70 for what appears to be just the shell. Is this right?
Thanks for any input
Don't waste your money on a aftermarket shell, they are junk. Go to a junkyard and get an original Ford one. 87-96 will fit but 92-later have a decal instead of having FORD stamped in the metal.
No kidding. I bought a new after market gate for 50 bucks without hardware. It is much lighter and not something I would use to load a harley but it is straight. Next time I will be at the junkyard. 100 bucks.
