the mechanic from hell wired a switch to my dash for the glow plugs. i push the button in for 4 secs, then repeat. after the second series , a puff of smoke rises up through the dash. only 4 glow plugs have been hooked up all this time. now truck does'nt start. 5000 miles after the rebuils, i am leaking oil out of the rear of the engine.what do i do?
Get a new truck?
Start with hooking up your glow plugs the right way! Through the proper relay. Make sure ALL your plugs work. Locate oil leak by cleaning affected area, and if needed, coat clean area with foot powder, start truck and look for the powder to turn brown. Walla, your leak. Fix it.
Last bit of advice...get a new mechanic BTW, if a reputable shop rebuilt your engine, have THEM fix it or pay someelse to do it right!
