Aha!

Eureka! Getting a second opinion was a good idea!
The engine is shot... even a rebuild is a joke my second opinion said. They tipped me off to something that's giving me grounds for legal action.
The current water pump installed on my van is NOT designed for the aerostar. Which would explain the "pulling" feeling at higher revs. My dealership did the last repair on it so I called them up and they are going through their records for the time it was repaired and I have asked for a copy of the details and I'll match up the part numbers and find out from ford whether or not the water pump is proper. If it's not I'm going to request my dealership replace my engine and water pump. If they refuse I can sue. Which sucks because my dealership was really nice and have a lot of great people (though their mechanics are idiots). But it is a repair I PAYED for not covered under the 30 day warranty so I expect the work to be done meticulously (although if it were warranty I would still expect as much).
Keep you guys posted on this one. If I get a free engine I can move on to my other mods a lot sooner
