Has anyone ever put in a pyrometer? The dash and 12V stuff doesnt scare me, but drilling and tapping the moter does a bit. Any one brand anybody likes over the other? \
Thanks,Digger
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-Jan-02 AT 00:38 AM (EST)] When I installed the Banks Stinger-plus system it came with a new down pipe ready to mount the pyro-sensor, also it came with a boost gauge. I also installed a full three guage full pillar. If you install put it 4" away from turbo or on a gas motor donot put it on the exhaust manfold it needs to go 2" to three" away on the exhaust manfold..have fun with your project.....
Thanks for the info guys, powerstroker, did you get that as a kit, and where from? Is it able to go any PSD, and was there any concern about accuracy with a clamp on vs drilled?? I like having one gauge down low, and not drilling anything....

I purchased a Pyrometer and Boost gauge combo (one gauge with both functions) from Isspro. It is a 3" and works very nice. It came with the thermocouple and the boost tubing. I think the website is issro.com. Go to the aftermarket section, choose pyrometers and its call the Turbocator. Some people may not like this guage due to the fact if one function quits working you have to replace the whole thing.
