I have an 04' f-250 4x with a service box on it for a work truck, I swapped the tail lighs over to the new LED type. now the turn signals are blinking at a extreme speed, it's almost like the flasher is overloaded. the 4 ways work fine they have different flasher unit. ford doesn't offer any replacement flasher units nor does napa any Ideas?

The flashers are designed to work with bulbs that burn a filament. Diodes have no filaments because they are, well, diodes! They have almost no resistance.
Because the operation of the flashers is dependent on the current flow through them, any change in the voltage applied will also have an effect on the flash rate.
Increased resistance makes a slow flash rate, conversely, decreased resistance speeds up the flash rate. You will need to increase the in-line resistance to the lights, (which defeats one of the purposes for using LED's, i.e. low energy consumption).
Check with a trailer supply for which type of flasher works for LED's. You may have to go to a mechanical intervalometer.
When I switched over to LED tailights I had to switch to a 552 flasher and that took care of all flasher issues. It's also louder than the stock one so I can hear it through the radio and the wind noise. Didn't cost much and got it at Kragen.
Thanks for the quick responses, changing the resitance of the tail light had crossed my mind. I pulled the flasher unit out to get the part #'s on it and was suprised to find it had 5 leads and it seems they're all wired, the tail lights were supposed to be direct replacements for the bulb type , so much for the easy way!
