Bolt patterns

Hello all, I have a few questions....

1. I have a clip from a C***Y Monte Carlo, its a 70 and has the 5 on 4 3/4" pattern
2. I am thinking I want to do a MII install now, and that has a 5 on 4 1/2" pattern
3. Looking ata set of wheels...1/2 price fron centerline and can only get them in a 5 on 5 1/2" pattern

Qustion is....can I get the MII rotors drilled out to a 5 on 5 1/2..I am not using the MII rotors soory but the grenada upsized ones. or does anyone think I can get a late model truck rotor and hub mounted on the MII spindle??
or just move on and buy a set of mismatched wheels with the 5 on 5 1/2 rears and the 5 on 4 1/2 or clip 5 on 4 3/4

Thanks
Glack

Glack,

I think I'd pass on the wheels even if they are 1/2 off. The granada rotors will get you 5 on 4.5 for the front, so concentrate on getting 5 on 4.5 on the rear so you won't have to carry two spares. I'd either go with passenger car axles or have your truck axles redrilled to 5 on 4.5 pattern.

I can get the wheels for 1/2 price....Reg 395.00 ea getting them for 199.00 each

set includes 2 20x8" and 2 20x9.5

Getting them for 800 vs 1600, hard to pass up or go with what I planned on and spend to 1720, for wheels and another 1200 on tires and wait a few more months on the engine

Hard call, seems like a redrilled front rotor would be simple but if it cant be done then I guess more cash is the answer

Thanks Great northwoods

Glack,

It might be worth a trip to a machine shop in your area just to see if the rotor pattern can be changed to 5 on 5.5. I know there's no shop anywhere in my area that can or would even be willing to do anything like that. Also, some rotors may not have enough "meat" on them for a pattern that large. Perhaps the Granada rotors do, but I don't know. Even if it cost several hundred dollars to have it done, I guess it might be worth it to you since you would be saving $800 on the wheels at 1/2 price...

As far as I know those rotors have a center of 5 1/2. There isn't enough room to drill a new size. The biggest I think you can get is 5".

Thats what I figured, I wonder if I can get Centerline to Drill the wheels to a new bolt pattern, as they will have to make the new fronts as it is, maybe see if they will do a different pattern for me??

Thanks Guys for the help
