I was sent this email today by a friend. I think it's a great idea.


IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.

AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.

THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR behind" DAY, AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY.

THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING ON THIS ADMIINSTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

if everyone buys enough on the 18th or waits til the 20th does that really make a difference? would'nt you have to not use any fuel for one day? Just asking!

Yeah..that is a flaw to the plan but at this point it's worth it just to let the oil companies know that we can all come together to make a point. What do we have to lose. The way gas prices are going we won't be able to fill up our trucks because we don't have $100.

I sent this same email to about 71 people I hop[e it works I hate paying 213 a gal

 

sucks I spent all the $$ to turn my truck into a turnpike cruiser, and cant afford to take it on trips!

I gotta keep telling myself that i didnt buy it for the gas mileage!! It'll pass most anything on the road....except gas stations.

 

I wont have any problem with not buying gas on the 19th.....I had to fill up tonight. Dont ya just love going to the gas station and leaving physically lighter cuz of the massive loss of paper weight out of your wallet. And to top it off I only got 14.84 mpg. The e fans did help a bit though.

Shawn you should get you some underdrive pullies and a chip to improve that mpg. even better!!! My truck WILL get 20.9 mpg. on the hywy.

I wish I had the cash Mark. I've been workin on getting the cash to lower it but now with gas prices i'm torn between the drop stuff and the HP/MPG parts.
