Fuel injector prob?????

My '95 F250 PSD was having some trouble starting. It would turn over a few too many times and cough whitish-gray smoke for a while and then be alright. This usually occurred when the temp was about 40 degrees or lower. Sooooo..........I was told by many that it was probly the glow plugs. So, not having a shop manual(I was told by the people at Autozone & Adv. Auto that one could not even be ordered) I only knew that the plugs were inside the valve covers. I took one cover off, did not see them, and proceeded to take off a black box with wires which I presume is the injector. I then took off the metal pieces under this box, one of which was attached w/ 4 torque screws. Well, to make a long story short, I found the glow plugs eventually(on the back wall of the valve area), felt like an idiot, and replaced everything correctly. Now though, the truck vibrates and shakes somethin awful. It only does this when I crank it and when I accelerate. I has backfired a time or two. Is it missing? What do I need to do? And is it damaging anything to keep driving it?

Fuel injector prob?????

if it is vibrating and shakeing then is sounds like a injector. need to get someone to run a injector test on it for you. it will isolate which injector it is and tell you for sure if that is the problem. it is pretty neat if they will let you be there when they run it.
