i have one there pretty slick but a pain to run all the wires up to, well not to bad all in all actually with a coat hanger in the a posts but its a little bit of a project. but cool when they're done.
GeneStoner,I have installed one in a 71 F-100 4x4 and one in a 76 F-100 4x4 and they both turned out great.Make sure you have the inner roof insulated with a new glue in style bubble wrap plastic insulation. This type of insulation is supposedely better than the old cloth and aluminum foil covered insulator and resists condensation better .As Superswamper stated it is a bit of work to get all the wires up thru window post. The speakers are on the low end but I will run them until they blow then get new ones. The 73 to 79 Highliners have a spot over the driver side sunvisor for gauges, this makes it impossible to put the visor all the way up,this is the only thing that bugs me.It takes two people to install these units as they are big and bulky ,several drinks and about three hours later and it should be in.Overall I really like the design and quality, have fun.
"bowties in the rearview mirror"
actually gene since you are in the northwest i maybe willing to cut you a deal on mine since i'd rather have a new transfer case that speakers over my head let me know and we may be able to work something out
I took an overhead console from an 98 expedition and installed it in my 98 F150 extended cab. I took off the OE fabric on the headliner, Built up an area for the console and re installed it all. It looks sweet. I had the console painted and dipped at www.phoenix-image.com. It's a brushed aluminum and carbon fiber finish.
You may also try NPD, National Parts Depot, they also sell the headliner. I've thought about installing one in my truck, but the stock one is still there with no rips or tears,so I keep puting it off. Gregm

It wasn't cheap. The console was about $100 and the work phoenix imaging did was about $200. The headliner material and foam was about $20. It's worth it though. I get a ton of complements at shows.
