Im sick & tired of these elec/gas scooters racing up & down the streets, there not insured, there is no helmets required, no age limit. There getting modified to the point they look like bikes (seats & pegs), When will they pass a law to get them off the streets? Is this just in washington state?

The better question is who's gonna pay when some kid on one runs a stopsign and gets smacked by a truck? I see them running around my neighborhood in the wrong lane, running stopsigns, swerving all over the place, and plan being dangerous. At least they have more HP than a honda civic
Mad Hunter- They go crunch when you back into one.
The little brat's parents sue you. In California you have to be 16 and wear a helmet to ride them. We had a bunch of brats riding dirt bikes up and down my street in and out of traffic after dark, nearly causing innumerable accidents, and crashing into cars and fleeing, until they finally were involved in a high speed chase with the cops. The whole(I mean whole) neighborhood hopped in their vehicles and drove the area until we trapped them for the cops. They got an 8 month sentence Now if only we could do the same with those darn scooters.
Everyone seems to think they are ok. They are irritating and dangerous.

My Fiance uses one due to her disability, so I don't have a problem with elec scooters.. in fact I want to re-do her old one and chrome it out and give it a sweet paint job with flames! (actually, it's her idea). Once in a while she has to use the street to get back and forth to the train station because there are no sidewalks.. what are ya gonna do?
I had one pull out in front of me in downtown Baltimore earlier in the week. Never even looked, ran a stop sign from a side street onto a main road. He should thank someone I was paying attention because of rush hour. Guess what the kid did when I blew my horn? He saluted me "you know, told me I was number one with one of his fingers" Anyway, where are thier brains at? I guess they'll be on the hood of someones car. Parents fault?? Who knows...
Some where in the 70's we allowed our leaders to take away the power of a good old fashion butt kicken. The kids today are a product of that movement.
I wonder what they will do when thier kids grow to be teens? I bet they bring back the good old fashion butt kicken. What do you think?
When I said parents fault, I didn't mean all of us. Just some that don't care. My parents never put a hand on me and I haven't ever put one on my boys. I believe if you respect them they will respect you in return. It works for me. But some do need the old fashion butt kicken I'm sure....Later
EDIT: Oh yeah, this was about the brats on the scooters sorry.....
Im with Toyvo ... we got off in the wrong direction ... put back the teachers ability to kick alittle ***..and stop looking at me funning when a spank my kid in the store .... and what about the clothes there wearing...for god sakes stop letting them where your pants... get them a pair that fits.

It recall that either Coeur D' Alene ID or Post Falls ID is looking into getting them of the streets; it was in the news a few months ago. Oddly enough, the name calling (ie, "you don't like kids, you're mean") did not begin.
