If it had been wal-mart or some other large super store/ retail store, I would have probably kept it since $50 there is nothing, but since it was a mom and pop place, im not going to screw them out of their money. It was a simple mistake and i fixed it. Wouldnt you be upset if the store charged you an extra $50 and decided not to tell you that it happened after you paid?

Never judge your own value`s on what someone else might or might not do.Get this,I`m a mechanic right,so this guy brings his taurus in for a heater core. After taking his glovebox out,I can see,on top of the heaterbox is an old envelope,so old that the glue holding it together has come apart. The envelope is also covered with about an 1/8 in of dust.I reach in and grab it,inside is about $700.I take it to the service advisor,to give back to the customer.Do you think the guy says thanks?Oh no,instead he makes insulting remarks like, how much was really in it!What a jerk. One of the few times I lived to regret doing the right thing.

I wouldnt have regretted it, I would of let him know how hard it is to stop of kicking his *** for being such an idiot to ask me something like that after I just gave him $700 back he never would have known to miss. May not have been his in the first place.

I think he did right. These days, being honest is very... original.
