BOOSTGAUGE INSTALL QUESTION
Hello ,
This past weekend i installed an Autometer Boost and Volt gauge on my 2002 Excursion PSD. I tapped the Blowoff valve to get the gauge the reading to see how much boost i am running.I wasnt sure if this was the best place to get a reading..The gauge shows i max out around 5psi.My two questions are :
1)Is this gauge installed right , or should i get a reading from somewhere else in the motor ?
2)What is stock boost of the 7.3L Powerstroke...

Is 18psi stock boost ???
That sounds kinda high to me , but i coul be wrong.
If you could-send me a pic of the place i need to
connect the fitting for the boostgauge , becasue i have no idea where
you are talking about.

BOOSTGAUGE INSTALL QUESTION
I might be able to help on you boost question. International says that the MIN. BOOST should be no less than 17psi on a stock truck. I have instaled a Superchip on my PSD and have recorded as high as 27psi. I recieved a full instruction sheet with my auto meter gauges and everything worked out fine on install. A great source of info for all you PSD fans is Power Stroke Registry, they always have great tips, along with owners stories.
