FE but not FE

i have searched for and searched for and have posted in the transmission board to no avail. so this is the 2nd most related forum to this question

With the plethora of NV4500 info out there has anybody come up with a decent explanation of EXACTLY what parts to use and possibly a heads up of where to locate said parts to put the NV4500 behind and FE (390) in a 4x4 73-79 ford truck; F-250 in my case!!

i am very interested in this conversion but i would like a parts list so i can work up a price list so i can evaluate the legitimacy of the swap.
if the price is to high to justify i want to be able to just not worry about it anymore. and i dont want to think about the smooth and powerfull operation of a new 5 speed every time i grap a cog in an old NP435 or T-18
i know there is tons of info related to swapping out the nv4500 but none that i can find is FE specific. there was one guy on here that i think was in the middle of doing it but i think he got sent over seas with the war and all.

ANY and ALL info is welcome and appreciated!!
thanks

I installed a nv4500 in my 72 F-250 4x4 behind a 428. I bought a kit from Advance adapters and used a tranny out of a dodge. The clutch disc is for an International truck and I used the Ford pressure plate. I built a rear crossmember and used the rear mount that was in the kit. The only other expense was shortening the driveshaft. Sounds easy but it was more work than it sounds like. Sure is nice though, cruising in od.

tranny questions

F250, why is it that you want to install NV4500 ? There are better alternatives, and lots less $$ is involved. How do you feel about Clark 5 spd transmissions ? DF, @ his Dad's house
