How did you brace them? I was looking at my rear fender wells and I think that I need a brace connecting to the frame for a pair of mud flaps. I would really like to install some.
The Ford molded rear mud flaps come with a metal bracket to brace them. A word of advice, the molded Ford rear flaps ($38 a pair) will not fit with factory fender flares. The parts guy sold them to me and I test fit them real quick and everything seemed fine. I spent a day painting them to patch my lower Arizona Beigh color then went to mount them. If I position the body line to match the molded flap, the bottom is not level. If I level the mud flap, there is a gap between the body line and the mud flap. I couldn't return them at that point since I had painted them
I picked up some of the flat style factory mud flaps ($12 a pair) and will paint to match and install on the rear. The front molded mud flaps fit OK with the factory fender flares, but not perfect. After I get the rears installed I'll take some pictures.
