Friction Modifier - How Much?
I have a 1996 PSD with a 4.10 axle. Per the diesel supplement, I should add 4oz of friction modifier if I have a Ford design axle with an 8.8 inch ring gear; 8oz if I have a 10.25 inch gear ring. If it's a Dana axle, I should add 4oz. How do I tell which axle I have? BTW, the axle code is C5. The tag shows "S 132 N" on the top line and " L10 10 2 5 K 10" on the bottom line.
