I am thinking about selling my Bronco. I need to look at something that is designed more for pulling my Toy Hauler. After reading many posts on this board I'm just not sure the Bronco is suited for what I need. I have added a K&N filter and gibson catback but the 5.8 just doesn't have the power I want as well as other pulling/hauling question marks. I have several questions. I like the 91 through 95 Ford F350/250 but not sure if I should go diesel or the V8 (460). From what I can gather they are both pretty dependable. I will be hauling a 26ft toyhauler fully loaded and don't want power to be an issue. Also my Bronco is an 1993 with 85,000 miles, leather interior in mint condition, sound system including rear sub, brand new Bridgestone Duelers, no leaks, all fluids changed, just gave it a complete tuneup, changed the TPS switch, tow package, roadmaster suspension kit, and as mentioned above K&N filter and Catback Gibson exhaust. Body is almost perfect other than maybe a door ding that you would have to look for. What would be a fair price for such a beast? Knowing the previous owners this Bronco has probably never been off road.

Reason: Left Something Out
Sounds like a great truck and great low miles. It would be quite a steal at anything less than $7k. If it is an Eddie Bauer, I would probably say more like $7500. The only reason I wouldn't say more than that is that the '93 missed out on a few desireables like air bags, MAF, etc.
Well is power the only issue about the truck that isnt meshing with your lifestyle right now? I think the gears suck in the broncos. You would be amazed at what a gear swap could do for you. Now, if gears arent the only issue, well thats a whole different ballgame. Also, check out kbb.com One more thing, you might want to take a look at all of the broncos over on ebay (where I purchased mine). That should give you a rough idea of the going prices.
I know there has been a lot of talk on this thread about gears but it's new to me. What gears would you suggest and what could I expect to pay for it if I have it done. This is my second Bronco and I was thrilled until I hooked it up to my Toy Hauler. I was surprised at the lack of power. My old 89 Bronco had the 5.0 engine and it had more pep. I'm sure the 5.8 has more power so gears might do the trick. Thanks for the input
What size tires are you running? The powerband of the 5.0 and 5.8 doesnt really kick in until 2500+ (which for me, is about 80mph). What kind of weight will you be pulling? The most popular gear size for tires up to (and including) 33" is 4.10s. For 35"s, 4.56 is much preferred. I plan on swapping to 4.10s when I make a big dent in my credit card debt. The most expensive part of gear swaps is labor. If you know how, or have a friend that does, you will save quite a bit. I think gears, fully installed, can run anywhere between 1200-2200 . With 31" tires, and a swap to 4.10s, there should be about a 900 rpm difference. I run about 1900 at 65 with my bronco. With the new gears, that would put me up in the range where I should be.
its not the weight that id worry about, the bronco stock can tow somewhere between 6-7k, but its the trailer length you mentioned, with the broncos wheel base, it would be verry difficult to keep it under control at freeway speeds with a 26foot trailer
