Difference in Radio Bezel

I am replacing the radio in my '84 F-250. The problem I am running in to is that the old radio had two ***** on it. The aftermarket radio doesn't. So the original radio bezel would cover up about 30% of the new radio. My question is: Is there a difference between the radio bezels in an '84 and an '86? I thought that the '86 had a normal radio in it. If they aren't different, any suggestions on how to make my current radio bezel work?

84 and 86 are the same bezel... you'll have to size it up and do some
cutting... that's what I did when I put my radio in my 86 F250.

They do make a radio bezel for the small radios without the *****, I have one in my 86 eddie bauer, Just search on ebay, or you may find one in a junkyard.

Here is one, just to give you an idea, but it is silver. Mine is wood grain.

85 and 86 use a DIN size mount, like the later models, and most aftermarket stereos.

First off thanks for the info guys. I've got a question for Ford Eddie Bauer, and 82 F100 SWB. Are the radio bezel's that you guys gave me links to OEM or after market?

Thanks again guys.

I also have the wood grain, "two hole" bezel, but mine is pretty chewed up. I am restoring the truck "as well as switching it from 4x2 to 4x4" and would like to get a new wood grain bezel, or at least a good looking one. Any suggestions?

My 86 has the older post type, so are you saying it got swapped to this, or just another of the options, it has no clock.

Go to a car audio store and purchase an aftermarket install kit. It will have a bezel to cover on old and will fit the new radio face. You will most likely need to cut the OEM bezel to fit the new radio.

    Got it, thanks.

I have a wood-grain dash and bezel with the clock at the top. I am really not too concerned about the clock because I plan to put in a newer radio eventually which will have a digital clock by default. If you have a wood-grain with the clock at the top that is in good shape that would be great. Likewise, if you have the same thing without the clock that is fine too. If you have both I'd like to go with the clock just to stay original. My bezel is still a deep dark woodgrain and has a fairly shiny finish. What do yours look like? (the eyelet at the top for the dash screw is broken) Also, what would you want for the bezel? You mentioned a set, do you have a dash as well? I don't need the dash but understand why you want to sell as a set, what is the price for the dash, bezel set? Lastly, my original bezel was a XL I currently have an XLT.
