Master Cylinder Pushrod
In my '93 I've got the Mazda 5-speed. The plastic bushing connecting the pushrod to the steel linkage broke the other day. Went to the Ford dealer and got another which I replaced last night. Drove the truck and the pushrod kept popping off, finally breaking the circular attachment point. Went back to the dealer today and purchased the master cylinder which came with another pushrod. Has anyone replaced just the pushrod? I'd like to avoid opening the hydraulic system if possible. The clutch appeared to be operating normally until the plastic bushing broke.
Also, should the switch which the pushrod passes through be firmly attached? The one on my truck has play in it which could have caused some binding on the pushrod.
