Question advise

having just purchused ny first PSD I would like to know the best and or cheapest air filter for my truck. It is all stock.

One of the best filters on the market is Hastings. If you can't find these then Wix is also a good filter.

In a PSD, air filtration is not an area where you want to cut corners. You definitely don't want to use a cheap-o filter just to save a couple bucks when you are trying to protect a $5000 engine. I would recommend at least a good Motorcraft air filter for your stock system, and serious consideration of upgrading to an AIS or Tymar system. Do a search for these and read all about how they work. The only filters I remember reading bad comments about are Fram and K&N. You might want to stay away from these.........

Thanks for the reply. as far as upgrading the stock system what are the benifits and cost??

Benefits include better filtration (depending on the intake) and the turbo will spool up faster. My Tymar cost me $109.
