Thermometer calibration help
Wondering if anyone has any info on how to recalibrate the thermometer on a 2001 F-150 XL. I bought it used and it seemed to work fine. Lately it seems to be about 12 degrees warmer than actual temp outside. I work outside a lot so it would be nice to have it working right again. Thanks All.

This has been discussed here, and I believe the concensus is that, if the sensor is in the proper place (in front of the radiator), it will be accurate within a couple degrees when the truck is moving. When first restarted or when idling, the radiator heat may affect it.
If it is wrong, the only thing you can try is replace the sensor. We don't know any way to "fine tune" the reading.
