I just recently went to trade in my 99 PSD crew cab short bed.It has 126,000 miles on it. i have dual 3 inch exhuast,3.5 inch downpipe, pyrometer and boost gauges,33x 12.50 16.5 bfgoodwrench mud-terrains on the back,full replacement front bumper,k&n filter.70 hp chip. The dealership wanted to give me 12,000 dollars for it. I think that is pretty #####ty. It is worth 15,900 on kbb. How much should i ask for it?? The only thing i am going to take off is the chip.

Unfortunately modifications often DECREASE the value of a vehicle for resale. Buyers have a tendancy to doubt the quality of work (often justifiably). Just because you know the work was first rate doesn't mean the guy who will buy it off the lot will know it. Performance mods are doubly suspicious to a lot of buyers because they signify the possibility of very hard use.
Despite all that, I think the dealership is lowballing you. Your best bet is to sell your truck privately, then put that cash toward the new truck.
Don't take their offer of 12000, that's about 2 or 3 grand too low.
